Delta Tau Delta is a non-hazing Greek organization. A promise that you will hear again and again, is that there will be no hazing in our pledge program. The following list has been adopted by Zeta Chi, the Arch Chapter, and the Undergraduate Council and endorsed by the Karnea as defining hazing.
- Calisthenics such as sit-ups, pushups, or any other physical abusive exercises.
Total and or partial nudity at any time.
- The eating or ingestion of any unwanted substance.
- Wearing or carrying of any obscene or physically burdensome or embarrassing article.
- Paddle swats, which also includes the trading of swats with actives or among actives.
- Pushing, shoving, or any other abusive, physical contact directed to pledges.
- Throwing any substance or object on or at a pledge.
- Forcing pledges to drink alcoholic beverages by either threats or peer pressure.
- Rat court, kangaroo court, or other individual interrogation.
- Line-ups of the pledge class.
- Transportation and abandonment of pledges or members.
- Putting pledges in an area which is uncomfortable or confining.
- Any type of personal servitude performed for actives which is demeaning and/or of personal benefit to the active members.
- Wearing feminine apparel of any kind.
- Assigning "Pranks" such as stealing, painting objects, harassing other organizations.
- Members intentionally messing up or trashing the house or rooms for the pledges to clean up.
- Calling or assigning pledges demeaning names.
- Verbally intimidation of pledges.
- Requiring the pledges to have boxing matches, fights, etc., between themselves for actives' enjoyment.
